ORPHANS HANDS

Welcome To Vatra Village

Where hope, healing and community converge to create a sanctuary of safety.

The family homes at Vatra Village under winter snow

At the age of 16, orphaned children are pushed out of the familiar confines of their orphanage, equipped with nothing more than the clothes they wear and a solitary bus ticket to a town noted on their birth certificate. Left defenseless and alone, they often fall prey to the predatory schemes of human traffickers.

It’s in these critical and dire moments of vulnerability that we intervene, providing hope through a warm bed, nourishing meals, ongoing education and above all, an introduction to the love of Christ.

Vatra Village, Moldova

At Vatra Village, our teens live in one of six spacious family homes organized around a community green space. Each home at Vatra is overseen by live-in house parents, who were once orphans themselves. They have found the love of God and are now sharing it with the precious souls in their care.

Over time, our family model becomes a cornerstone, fostering a profound sense of security and consistency essential for navigating through past trauma, abuse and abandonment.
