Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about The Orphan’s Hands, Vatra Village, and how your giving rescues orphaned teens in Moldova. Have a question we haven’t answered? Contact us.

What is The Orphan's Hands?

The Orphan's Hands is a faith-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 47-4457291) that rescues orphaned and vulnerable teenagers in Moldova from homelessness and trafficking. Teens who would otherwise age out of state institutions are raised in real family homes at Vatra Village, with education, vocational training, and the love of Christ.

What is Vatra Village?

Vatra Village is The Orphan's Hands' family-home community in Moldova. Instead of an institution, each teen lives in a real home as part of a family — going to school, learning life and vocational skills, and growing up surrounded by faith. Many later return as missionaries to the same villages they were rescued from.

Where does my donation go?

Donations fund a whole-life program for every teen in our care: safe family homes at Vatra Village, food, clothing, education, and vocational training, plus tons of humanitarian aid shipped by container each year to Moldova and Ukraine. You can give $1 per day, make a one-time gift, or sponsor a $500 aid pallet.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes. The Orphan's Hands is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 47-4457291), and gifts are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by U.S. law.

Can I donate by check?

Yes — make your check out to Orphan's Hands and mail it to The Orphan's Hands, P.O. Box 35, Clinton TN, 37717. You can also give securely online at orphanshands.org/donate.

How do I know my gift is used responsibly?

The Orphan's Hands holds a Candid (GuideStar) Platinum Seal of Transparency and is rated by Charity Navigator. Both independent profiles are public — search EIN 47-4457291 on either site, or follow the links from our donate page.

How did The Orphan's Hands begin?

The ministry began in 1990, when founder Philip Cameron walked into a bitterly cold orphanage in Romania and met a starving little boy named Andrew. Philip and his wife Chrissie later welcomed Andrew into their family through adoption — and the promise made that day grew into the ministry that today rescues and raises orphaned teens in Moldova. Andrew now plays a pivotal role in that work.

Is Daily Faith TV part of The Orphan's Hands?

Yes. Daily Faith TV (dailyfaith.tv) is the broadcast ministry hosted by founder Philip Cameron, and it is owned and operated as part of The Orphan's Hands Inc. — featuring faith-filled conversations with pastors, evangelists, and ministry leaders.

How can I stay updated on the work?
